Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller for our Italy entity within the EMEA region. This pivotal role includes financial oversight and collaboration with the Hilversum Content finance team for monthly reporting. The focus is on financial reporting, alignment, and driving process improvements. Key responsibilities include :
- Team Management : Supervise the local accounting team in Italy to ensure timely and high-quality financial reporting.
- Monthly Reporting Analysis : Analyse and review the monthly reporting package, collaborating closely with the Hilversum Content finance team.
- Intercompany Reconciliations : Lead the reconciliation of intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting Tool Management : Act as the main contact for financial reporting tools, advocating for and implementing improvements in current practices.
- Stakeholder Liaison : Work with various stakeholders, including the Hilversum Content finance team, FP&A, Managing Directors, tax, legal, and HR teams, to ensure seamless communication.
- Compliance Oversight : Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards, including Italian GAAP, with group reporting under IFRS.
- Audit Process Management : Oversee the local audit process, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
- Board Reporting : Assist in preparing monthly board reports for the management board.
- Process Improvement : Contribute to process documentation and enhancements, aiming to build a robust finance and reporting structure for the future.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accountancy.
- Experience : Over 3 years of experience in a high-growth international company, preferably in a transformation environment.
- Management Skills : Strong people management skills to lead and motivate finance teams.
- Communication Skills : Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively with both financial and non-financial professionals.
- Dynamic Work Environment : Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills to inform decision-making and reporting strategies.
- Accounting Knowledge : Proficient in Italian GAAP and ideally familiar with IFRS.
- Language Skills : Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
