For an industrial multinational company, we are seeking a Finance Manager who will report directly to the CEO. The purpose of the role is to lead and develop the finance function to achieve defined targets, drive sustainable growth, ensure compliance, and support team development. The position involves overseeing financial decision-making and managing a finance team of six people.
Position Description
- Provide oversight for all finance department activities, across multiple locations.
- Leadership in department transformation and change management.
- Implement efficient monthly close policies and procedures, ensuring proper account reconciliations with the support from the team and the corporate shared service center.
- Implement inventory costing and tracking processes and procedures, in compliance with accounting standards.
- Implement revenue recognition processes and procedures, in compliance with company rules and accounting standards.
- Leverage ERP system capabilities to streamline financial operations and improve reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis reports.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements.
- Maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Partner with different departments to provide financial analysis and business support.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Support the cash flow management and working capital monitoring.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures, explaining deviations.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Oversee inventory costing processes, including labor and overhead absorption, obsolescence reserves, and standard costing methodologies.
- Manage the financial consolidation, with a focus on intercompany eliminations and intra-group transactions.
Requirements
- At least 7/10 years of experience in Controlling, gained in multinational and industrial/manufacturing environments;
- High proficiency in English;
- Proven experience in managerial roles, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently;
- Experience in public administration and accounting will be considered a plus;
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
