relocation to Malta will be required for the successful candidate.About the company:Our client is a well-established international aviation organisation with a large global presence and a complex multi-entity structure. The organisation continues to grow and operates in a dynamic international environment with over 1,000 employees globally.About the Role:This is a newly established leadership role created following the company’s continued growth. The Finance Manager will take ownership of the full finance function for one of the company's entities, with significant visibility and autonomy over the entity’s financial operations. You would oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, cash flow, taxation, compliance, and financial controls, while leading a local finance team and collaborating with senior finance leadership and international stakeholders.Responsibilities:· Own all financial activities of the entity, including Revenue, Receivables, Payables, Cash/Banking, General Ledger, Payments, Cash Flow Management, Taxation, and Financial Reporting· Be responsible for overall AP Process, ensuring accurate invoice processing, recording and timely payments in line with company policies and payment terms.· Manage credit control processes and proactively oversee debtor management to mitigate credit risk and ensure timely collections· Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with corporate reporting requirements.· Ensure compliance with IFRS principles, financial policies, and local statutory requirements (including VAT and corporate tax obligations)· Liaise with external and internal auditors and ensure timely remediation of audit findings· Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and automation initiatives in coordination with Finance.· Provide financial insights, updates, and recommendations to senior management and finance leadership on the entity’s financial performance and significant developments, supporting strategic and operational decision-making· Lead, supervise, and develop a finance team of 5-10 professionals.· Collaborate with internal departments and international stakeholders, as well as external parties including banks, auditors, suppliers, customers, and local authoritiesRequirements:· 6+ years of experience managing the full finance function of a legal entity within an international or multi-entity organisation.· Proven team management experience for finance or accounting team· Hands-on experience with full-scope finance operations including AR/AP, cash flow, taxation, financial reporting.· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS· ACCA qualification or a recognized University degree in Accounting· Experience managing cross-border transactions and intercompany processes· Good knowledge of local and cross-border VAT and tax regulations· Experience liaising with auditors and managing statutory compliance· Experience with ERP and reporting systems· Strong leadership skills with the ability to work to strict reporting deadlinesWhat the company offers:· Stable company with an international environment· Significant ownership and autonomy in the role· Company car· Private health insurance· Flight benefits· Gym access· Daily office lunch· Additional employee benefits
