Financial Accountant – Sulbiate
Permanent position reporting to the Financial Controller. This role will act as the primary finance contact for the Italian entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting and full compliance with local statutory, tax, and payroll requirements. It is a standalone role onsite, working closely with the Group Finance team in Ireland and external local advisors. The role supports the launch and operation of our new distribution centre in Italy.
Key Responsibilities
- Account for the Italian entity’s accounting and compliance, including preparation of monthly accounts, KPIs and variance analysis
- Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for Group HQ
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with Italian statutory, legal, tax, and payroll requirements
- Coordinate with external providers (tax advisors, lawyers, payroll advisors) and review their outputs
- Maintain accounting records and oversee local regulatory requirements
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Act as local finance liaison and point of contact with Group Finance
- Support implementation and improvement of finance processes and ERP systems
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Italian accounting, tax, and payroll regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage local compliance topics
- Experience with monthly close and financial reporting
- Good command of English (minimum B2)
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – Dottore Commercialista
Nice to Have
- Experience in a distribution or industrial environment
- Experience working with external advisors
- ERP systems experience
