Job Description: Financial Controller
Location: AC Hotels by Marriott Milan Sesto
Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Director of Finance and collaborates with the General Manager.
Executive Summary
The Financial Controller ensures the integrity of financial and management accounting, acting as a bridge between day-to-day accounting and strategic analysis. The role is responsible for reconciling operational and financial data, analyzing variances, and reconstructing historical data to support management in strategic decision-making and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Controlling, Reporting & Forecasting
- Support the definition of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance and variances against budget and historical data.
- Collaborate with or deputize for the Director of Finance in preparing financial reports (P&L, forecasts, and periodic reports).
- Monitor key business KPIs, costs, and revenues.
2. Accounting & Operational Oversight
- Work closely with the Senior Accountant to supervise accounting and administrative activities.
- Support the Senior Accountant in the correct allocation of costs across revenue centers (Rooms, F&B, Banqueting, Meeting Rooms); verify the accuracy of monthly inventory data.
- Audit the Procure-to-Pay cycle and ensure compliance of collection procedures (Front Office and F&B) with Marriott standards (SOPs).
3. Business Intelligence & Data Analysis
- Conduct profitability analyses on specific segments (e.g., Banqueting vs. Outlet Dining).
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) standards.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Implement procedures to reduce operational waste and revenue leakage.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in finance, accounting, or similar roles. Experience in hospitality or international environments is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and management tools.
- Strong data analysis skills (data mining).
Soft Skills:
Accuracy, results-oriented mindset, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities to collaborate with department heads.

Compensation: 13th and 14th salary (if applicable under the national collective agreement).
