The Financial Controller will be the primary support for Finance Manager for overseeing all financial related internal reporting, with a strong focus on how data are generated, therefore constantly monitoring the accounting processes for all the group entities. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical and reporting skills along with a deep understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance with tax regulations, and support the financial decision-making process. This is a hybrid position, requiring presence at the office located in Bassano del Grappa, Italy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Manager in overseeing and constantly monitoring the accounting process in the parent company and all subsidiaries.
  • Oversee and manage financial consolidation processes for the group, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Monitor and improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Support the Finance Manager in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Conduct variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to accounting teams across different subsidiaries.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements.
  • Assist in financial due diligence and integration of new acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent proficiency in excel and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Italian and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
