We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to design, develop and test firmware and libraries for microcontrollers/microprocessors used in Arduino or other embedded platforms (e.g., Yocto Linux, etc.). Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

What You’ll Work On

• Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded software (C++, C).
• Prototype a product solution from research to production.
• Most of the code will be open‑source; we require high quality when coding and documenting.
• Maintain and improve the code.
• Spread the Arduino verb at conferences and with the developer community.
• Collaborate with the hardware design team; review code.
• Review hardware designs.

What You Bring

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of experience in firmware and libraries development (C, C++).
• Experience with JTAG and other debugging tools (gdb/valgrind).
• Familiarity with Linux kernel or user‑space programming.
• Extensive experience in hardware debugging.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP) and GitHub.
• Broad knowledge of git flow.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of the Arduino ecosystem.
• Experience with Golang and/or Python.
