We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to design, develop and test firmware and libraries for microcontrollers/microprocessors used in Arduino or other embedded platforms (e.g., Yocto Linux, etc.). Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
What You’ll Work On
- Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded software (C++, C).
- Prototype a product solution from research to production.
- Most of the code will be open‑source; we require high quality when coding and documenting.
- Maintain and improve the code.
- Spread the Arduino verb at conferences and with the developer community.
- Collaborate with the hardware design team; review code.
- Review hardware designs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of experience in firmware and libraries development (C, C++).
- Experience with JTAG and other debugging tools (gdb/valgrind).
- Familiarity with Linux kernel or user‑space programming.
- Extensive experience in hardware debugging.
- Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP) and GitHub.
- Broad knowledge of git flow.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of the Arduino ecosystem.
- Experience with Golang and/or Python.
