Job Description
The FNTP Director will lead our renewable energy projects from AU approved status through to full notice to proceed (FNTP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, specifically within the renewable energy sector, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large‑scale projects on time and within budget. Good leadership skills are needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project financing process to meet all necessary requirements.
- Collaborate with the Construction team to obtain secondary‑level permits and oversee construction works.
- Lead technical and legal due‑diligence processes, capital raising, M&A, and financing procedures.
- Define the strategic plan to bring projects to RTB or FNTP.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and costs are controlled.
- Support the structured finance team during both the signing and closing phases.
- Engage in activities to finalize the department’s budget and strategic plan.
- Support local community engagement and maintain rapport with all authorities involved in the construction phase.
- Obtain executive project approval and enforce compliance.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring all project objectives are met.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Review technical, administrative, and legal documentation.
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing large‑scale renewable energy projects in the solar PV or wind industry from inception to FNTP.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of greenfield development dynamics.
- Previous experience in permitting and authorization of renewable projects in Italy.
- Knowledgeable of environmental and permitting regulations and planning.
