Formula Regional Race Engineer – Italy – Motorsport – Salary: DOE


Location: Italy (Ossona + travel)

Contract Type: Full-Time

Travel: Required to all races, tests, and simulator sessions

Start Date: January 2026 (early integration possible for the right candidate)


Compensation

• Salary: Dependent on experience

The Company:

A top-tier European race team competing at the sharp end of international junior formulas. Known for its technical excellence, elite driver development, and championship pedigree, the team is preparing for a competitive 2026 campaign. This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established squad in Formula Regional with potential career progression into FIA F3 and beyond.


The Role:

The Formula Regional Race Engineer will be the technical lead for one of the team’s race cars throughout the full season. You’ll be responsible for managing all engineering activities from test prep through to race execution, working closely with the driver to extract the maximum performance from the car.


Key Responsibilities:

• Full car management during race weekends, test days, and simulator sessions

• Collaborate with drivers on car setup, tyre management, and race strategy

• Use data and video analysis to guide engineering decisions

• Support rig and simulator test programmes

• Liaise with mechanics, data/system engineers, and the wider tech team

• Participate in pre- and post-session briefings and performance reviews

• Contribute to ongoing engineering process improvements and documentation


Key Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical, Motorsport, or Automotive Engineering

• Specific experience in GB3 or Formula Regional

• Strong grasp of vehicle dynamics, setup methodology, and data analysis

• Familiarity with Magneti Marelli, Bosch, or similar systems

• Strategic and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills

• Calm under pressure and solution-focused on race weekends

• Willing to travel extensively throughout the season

• Italian nationality preferred (but not essential)
