FPGA Engineer

MISSION:

As part of the development of our entity Abylsen Italy, specialized in Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant), Energy and IT, we are looking for a FPGA Engineer in the Aerospace & Defence sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring their expertise on all our projects.

ACTIVITIES:

• Design and implement FPGA-based digital systems
• Write and simulate RTL code (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog)
• Perform synthesis, placement, and routing using EDA tools (Vivado, Quartus, etc.)
• Verify functionality through simulation and hardware testing
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams
• Optimize FPGA designs for performance, resource usage and power

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of experience in FW design for programmable systems such as FPGA
• Experience in designing fast serial interfaces (especially for Aurora and DDR protocols)
• Experience in FW design based on the latest generation of AMD programmable device architectures (Zynq, Ultrascale, RFSoC) and/or Altera (Stratix 10, Agilex 7)
• Understanding of technical hardware documentation (e.g., electrical diagrams, hardware component datasheets and IP cores)
• Ability to use advanced laboratory instruments (digital oscilloscopes, logic state analysers, bus analysers, spectrum analysers, etc.)
