Freelance Motion Designer - Mobile Gaming

Whatwapp is a leading mobile game company in Italy with three major titles, focusing on casual games. We’re looking to build our network of trusted freelancers, and we're currently seeking a freelance motion designer with solid experience in mobile gaming to help us create high-performing user acquisition videos.

You’ll work closely with our creative and marketing team to ideate, design, animate, and iterate on short-form video content that emphasizes performance—beyond just aesthetics.

What you’ll do:

• Design and animate UA video ads for mobile games across platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.)
• Collaborate with our in-house team on creative direction, concepting, and performance analysis
• Iterate quickly based on KPIs (e.g., CTR, CPI, IPM) and campaign feedback
• Work with existing game assets, while also creating visuals from scratch when needed
• Participate in discussions about testing, improvements, and market trends

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience working on mobile games, with a focus on UA
• Strong skills in motion design, animation, and visual storytelling
• Proficient in After Effects
• Familiarity with performance marketing principles and rapid iteration
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setup
• A portfolio that includes gaming video ads, especially with performance context
• Experience with ASO creatives and store videos
• Understanding of cultural/localization differences across markets
• Comfort with testing new tools (e.g., AI, motion plugins) to streamline workflow
• Experience with traditional types of games
