Annax, a Wabtec business unit, specializes in passenger information systems for trains, trams and subways. The growing development team in Piossasco focuses on strengthening tram and commuter train projects and collaborates closely with teams in Switzerland and China.

Job Description

How will you make a difference?

As a Technical Team Leader System Software, you will be responsible for planning, coordination and technical guidance of the software activities distributed over different sites. You will also contribute to the implementation and configuration of real‑time audio streaming features, IP network configurations and protocols, device diagnostics, compatibility with third‑party devices and cyber‑security requirements.

What will your typical day look like?

• Coordinate and provide technical support to a team involved in multiple projects
• Define tasks and work packages
• Configure and implement features within projects
• Design module and framework extensions
• Develop, test and document code
• Configure and integrate ANNAX software and Linux services
• Analyze issues and fix bugs
• Apply cyber‑security rules
• Evaluate and elaborate new technologies

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you?

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Professional knowledge of Linux, Embedded Linux, IP networks
• Other skills: C++, scripting languages (bash, python), Unit Testing, UML
• Documentation with Doxygen, Sphinx and PlantUML
• Administration of code with Git, GitLab
• Professional English
• Works well independently
• Excited about distributed systems and having fun with them
• Available to travel occasionally
