As part of the continued growth of
Abylsen Italy , specializing in Transportation (Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Space and Railway), Heavy Industry (Metallurgy and Steel), Energy, and IT, we are looking for a
Gangway System Engineer
to join one of our clients operating in the
Railway
sector.
Main activities: Coordinate and oversee the assigned onboard subsystems throughout the entire project lifecycle. Act as the technical interface between internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and project teams. Supervise functional testing activities during the validation, verification, and certification phases. Manage the assigned onboard subsystems, ensuring effective collaboration with suppliers, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Participate in design reviews to define subsystem architecture, configuration, and technical requirements. Work closely with the Requirements Manager to manage, allocate, and maintain traceability of project requirements related to the assigned subsystems.
Technical skills: Previous experience in a similar role. Experience in the railway industry, particularly in onboard subsystem integration, will be considered a strong advantage. Ability to manage the allocation of system requirements to subsystems and coordinate their implementation with internal stakeholders. Ability to define subsystem architecture, functionality, and operating concepts based on technical documentation and system requirements. Good knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering principles. Ability to review suppliers' design deliverables, identify technical issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Fluent Italian. Intermediate level of English (minimum B1/B2).
