As a results-driven General Manager, you will oversee the success of your store and team by setting high performance and customer service standards. You will provide ongoing coaching and training to help your team achieve company objectives, increase revenue, and develop their skills while demonstrating leadership. Reporting to the District Director of Operations, you will oversee marketing efforts, champion store security and loss prevention, ensure adherence to quality standards, and review transactions to foster growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, lead, and develop all store employees to increase business and store growth through system training, company standards, account management, recovery, and performance reporting.
  • Lead marketing initiatives, utilize business-to-business partnerships, obtain referrals, and participate in community and in-store events to drive growth and revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and legal regulations. Audit loan/pawn agreements and transactions, and participate in audits and compliance reviews.
  • Supervise store security, cash management, and loss prevention activities, including cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses. Conduct opening and closing procedures.
  • Evaluate and process loan/pawn applications, assess risks within established limits.
  • Participate in hiring, reviewing, and retaining staff.
  • Develop work schedules aligned with budgets and store needs to ensure optimal staffing.
  • Handle complex customer issues professionally and with integrity.
  • Maintain store appearance and facilities, oversee store layout, and ensure promotional materials are displayed properly.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks to meet performance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members at all levels.
  • Maintain a full-time schedule, including some weekends, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail, financial, or related industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with phone systems, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other relevant systems
  • Must be at least 18 (19 in Alabama)
  • Background check required
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing up to 90%, lifting up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Experience with check cashing, document verification, and money order processing
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus and may be required in certain locations

Compensation

The target annual salary is $64,480, which is part of the overall total compensation package.
