General Practitioner

American Medical Centers is expanding its healthcare services in Italy and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Physician / GP to join our team in Milan, Florence, and Como . The candidates will play a pivotal role in providing primary care services, on-call visits, and potentially online consultations for our patients as a pre-step to AMC’s new facilities slated to open in 2026. After the clinics’ openings, it is understood that the candidate will transition into a full-time, on-site position. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, be fluent in English and Italian, and demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm, working collaboratively with the AMC Italy team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Be available for on-call visits for patients in need of immediate medical attention.
2. Conduct online consultations to provide medical advice and support when not on-site.
3. Deliver high-quality medical care in patients' homes or via virtual appointments.
4. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
5. Order, perform, and interpret tests; analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
6. Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results, with appropriate follow-up.
7. Monitor patients' conditions and progress; reevaluate treatments as necessary.
8. Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
9. Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
10. Coordinate work with nurses, rehabilitation therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers at AMC or partner clinics.
11. Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
12. Ensure compliance with all medical and ethical standards, as well as local healthcare regulations.
13. Educate patients about their conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures to improve their health and well-being.
