Key Results
Provide technical and policy expertise to devise and implement GFAR Programme of Work and facilitate GFAR activities, especially Collective Actions.
Key Functions
- Mobilize dialogue and collective actions among Forum Partners.
- Articulate GFAR’s vision for making agrifood research and innovation more effective, responsive, and equitable to achieve Sustainable Development outcomes, including policy and strategy development.
- Develop and implement methodologies, tools, and systems to support program planning and delivery, collective actions, and other GFAR initiatives.
- Manage reports, assessments, and analyses; lead multidisciplinary teams; participate in technical networks and cross-sector studies.
- Coordinate technical support and ensure quality and effectiveness of capacity development and knowledge sharing activities, including learning events.
- Represent GFAR in international meetings to advance its mission, supporting member and partner engagement.
- Collaborate with FAO units and corporate activities, including the development of strategies and organization of international scientific and innovation meetings.
Specific Functions
- Advise the GFAR Executive Secretary on strategizing and implementing GFAR's action plan, mobilizing resources, and transforming research governance and innovation development.
- Lead methodological support for co-creation and co-research approaches focusing on smallholder producers and food system transformation.
- Contribute to developing strategic documents such as the Theory of Change, Engagement Principles, and Partnership Principles.
- Mobilize GFAR members and partners for active engagement and facilitate multi-stakeholder Collective Actions, ensuring equitable participation and resource inclusion.
- Coordinate Collective Actions on Forgotten Foods, Participatory Research, and Higher Education.
- Support the development of research and innovation agendas aligned with SDGs through Collective Actions.
- Coordinate content development for knowledge management and communication activities.
- Oversee surveys, reviews, studies, publications, and presentations related to GFAR’s flagship initiatives and partnerships.
- Organize outreach activities and prepare inputs for key meetings such as the Executive and Steering Committees.
- Represent GFAR at international conferences and workshops, facilitating Collective Actions.
- Build and sustain relationships with FAO, IFAD, CGIAR, and other stakeholders.
