The Opportunity
We are looking for a Global Fire and Explosion Safety Specialist to join our team as Program Lead. How You’ll Make An Impact
Lead the BU Fire and Explosion Safety Program, including related processes and technical guidance. Assess and safeguard Fire and Explosion prevention systems on BU TR facilities, tools, and equipment. Develop and implement cross-functional strategies for Fire and Explosion safety measures and standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for Fire and Explosion safety. Provide training and develop technical competencies in Fire and Explosion safety at local sites. Define requirements for Fire and Explosion safety during purchasing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Coordinate with internal Real Estate projects to ensure compliance with legal and internal safety requirements. Investigate Fire and Explosion incidents, determine root causes, and prepare corrective and preventive action plans. Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, with a specialization in Fire and Explosion safety. Over 8 years of experience in relevant functions. In-depth understanding of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, British Standards, API, and NFPA requirements. Experience in defining and conducting Fire and Explosion safety inspections and audits. Proven ability to collaborate with insurance companies on Fire and Explosion prevention. Strong technical safety knowledge and experience in risk review for capital projects related to Fire and Explosion safety. Willingness to travel globally (10-20% time), and fluency in English.
