DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

As Global Comfort & Last Technician , reporting to Global Technical Senior Product Development, you will assist the Global Onshore PD with the creation and validation of comfort anatomical lasts of new projects and existing NOOS, following standard best practices and guidelines.

You will create a standard framework for last and related tooling consideration development, adaptable to all relevant product constructions present in the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities and skills of this role are:

  • Define and document the standard anatomic shape of lasts, w/o compromising on Bata STD fit measurements or core Bata engineering principles
  • Liaise with PD Onshore & Design Team to create the last in accordance with design and fit intent that appropriately suits needs of Bata consumer across markets
  • According to product type & construction advise Onshore and Offshore PD in the tooling (o/s) development.
  • Advise and validate where anatomic last is compatible or not with product specificity, according to construction and manufacturing process.
  • Assess and amend existing lasts as per point 1.
  • Ensure a balanced approach to cost of implementation.
  • Instill knowledge in this area across related counterparts
  • Establish a Global physical & digital library of new lasts according to product typology and occasion.
  • Liaise with the Global Engineering Head to ensure last & tooling compliance in commercialization.
  • Support Onshore and Offshore PD’s to translate design concepts to Buy Ready samples.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shoe Making & Design degree or diploma, or a related field.
  • 7-8 years of experiences on last development & engineering, Product Creation process, Mould & Tooling development, Production equipment’s & processes;
  • Technical skills on: Last Making & Tooling, Pattern & sample making, PD Process, Production process & machines;
  • Able to work in a very dynamic and multicultural environment
  • Able to cooperate with internal and external clients and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers in China, SE Asia, Africa & Latam for approximately 20% of your time.

LOCATION & LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

  • Limena (Padova) – Italy;
  • Fluent in English.

PACKAGE & BENEFITS:

  • Fixed salary range: €60,000 – €65,000 gross per year. Positioning within the range is determined on the basis of objective, gender-neutral criteria including: relevant years of experience in last development, level of technical specialisation, and assessed seniority at the time of hire;
  • Full time (40 working hours per week)
  • Applicable collective labour agreement: CCNL Commercio (14 payslips) – estimated job level: Quadro / Impiegato (to be confirmed at the time of offer in accordance with the applicable CCNL classification framework);
