Diese Position Berichtet An Chapter Lead. In der Electrification Business – Smart Power Division suchen wir einen technisch versierten Global Application Engineer, der fortschrittliches technisches Wissen mit einem kundenorientierten und anwendungsorientierten Ansatz kombiniert. Du gedeihst an der Schnittstelle von technologischer Machbarkeit neuer Technologien und realen Marktanwendungen, trägst Durchbrüche in umsetzbare Geschäftsmöglichkeiten für Smart Power ein und überbrückst die Lücke zwischen R&D-Innovation und Marktreality.

Du arbeitest in unserem ‘Emerging Technologies, Applications and Segments’ Innovation Team innerhalb der agilen Einheit Innovation and Common Modules. Your Responsibilities

• Contribute to the vision of electrification solutions with a 3–8 year timeframe, grounded in deep technical understanding of technology trajectories, feasibility, and division strategy.
• Investigate global macrotrends in emerging technologies, applications, and segments; shape innovation strategy and roadmap with technical feasibility assessments and strategic recommendations for ELSP leadership.
• Develop reference architectures and technical frameworks for emerging applications and use cases, translating technology trends into actionable system design concepts.
• Conduct technology benchmarking and competitive technical analysis, identifying critical gaps and opportunities against Smart Power’s current capabilities.
• Develop the ELSP ecosystem of key partners and customers through collaboration and knowledge exchange, piloting novel applications and validating both technical feasibility and market viability.
• Design and facilitate technical workshops with internal teams, customers, and partners to explore and validate emerging technology concepts and innovation hypotheses.
• Perform technical feasibility studies and proof‑of‑concept definitions, assessing technical maturity (up to TRL2), scalability, and applicability to Smart Power’s portfolio.
• Contribute to technical documentation and innovation briefs, translating findings into clear strategic recommendations for stakeholders and leadership, while supporting a collaborative team environment with R&D and Technology Advisor peers.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical; PhD is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in the electrical field.
• Extensive experience with power electronics, microgrids, data center technologies, or comparable advanced electrical systems, including practical work in proof‑of‑concept development and technology validation.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management ability in multicultural environments, combined with communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strategic thinker, comfortable translating complex technical concepts into business opportunities and recommendations.
• Agile mindset; proficiency in written and spoken English.
