Global Head of Sales - Energy

Overview

Global Energy group seeking a Global Head of Sales for the smart grids business unit. You will work closely with global and EMEA leaders to develop plans and programs to achieve sales, revenue and profit goals that support the client’s business objectives in the smart grid sector worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Functional Leadership: manage key customer relationships, engage with executives at key accounts, provide strategic advice with senior leaders, participate in high-level contract negotiations for global or strategic accounts, monitor global industry trends and customer needs, and align the commercial/sales organization with other business functions.
• Global Coordination: scout, originate and manage commercial partnerships to support the go-to-market strategy; coordinate activities across multiple businesses; synthesize customer input to validate strategy; ensure collaboration among sales, marketing, applications and product development teams.
• Execution of Strategic Plans: deploy the sales and go-to-market plan across markets and regions; manage sales and tender processes, including bidding, technical sales, offers and tender qualification; monitor customer satisfaction and drive improvements; work through Regional Sales Directors to execute product sales and margin strategies; monitor and report on sales program effectiveness; mobilize cross-functional resources as needed to support customers.
• Solution Marketing: contribute to the marketing strategy, support the development and launch of innovative, profitable solutions; assess target costs and pricing for competitive offerings; develop commercial offers with pricing strategies and profitability analysis; define Value Propositions for different customer targets.
