It is a challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure a generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations.Resources working within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context.Within the Joint Venture established for the realization of the GCAP Program, we are looking for a **Global Operations Coordination Specialist for the GCAP Headquarters located in Reading (UK).****OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:**The Global Security Operations Coordination team represents the “connective tissue” that ensures the correct functioning of security operations worldwide. This role is ideal for those who excel in coordination, communication, and operational discipline - the person who ensures that nothing is overlooked across time zones, teams, and different threat scenarios.The role supports the day-to-day functioning of the organization's global security operations, contributing to the coordination of activities between regional teams, maintaining awareness of the operational context, supporting incident management, and ensuring that operational processes function efficiently. It acts as a central hub for communication, reporting, and activity management, helping the global security function to remain aligned, informed, and ready to respond.**RESPONSIBILITIES:**The resource will be part of the Operations function for the JV and will report directly to the Global Operations Coordination Lead Specialist.**TASKS:****Operational Coordination*** Support Edgewing's operational security teams and daily security activities in the UK, Japan, and Italy.* Support the management of activities, updates, and workflows between regional security teams.* Manage operational calendars, shift schedules, and key activity monitoring tools.* Ensure timely follow-up of actions, escalations, and dependencies between teams.**Incident Management and Response*** Support monitoring, documentation, and communication during security events.* Facilitate information flow between internal teams, leadership, and external partners.* Maintain incident logs, post-event reports (after action report), and reporting templates.* Support preparation activities such as drills, simulations, and scenario planning.**Situational Awareness and Reporting*** Monitor global events, alerts, and information flows to ensure an adequate level of situational awareness.* Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and ad hoc reports and summaries for management.* Update dashboards, metrics, and operational performance indicators.* Ensure that information is accurate, timely, and consistent with organizational needs.**Process and Governance Support*** Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and document repositories.* Support compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and quality standards.* Contribute to the onboarding of new team members, ensuring consistency in operational practices.* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.**Stakeholder Engagement*** Act as a central point of contact for internal teams and external partners in the security field.* Facilitate cross-functional communication between security, facilities, HR, IT, and other corporate functions.* Support coordination during executive visits, high-risk travel, or special events.* Build solid relationships with global teams to ensure alignment and operational fluidity.**REQUIREMENTS:****Technical Knowledge and Skills:*** Experience in operational security, emergency management, coordination roles, or similar contexts.* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (operational English level).* Familiarity with security operations processes, incident management, or SOC (Security Operations Center) environments.* Good proficiency in tracking tools, dashboards, and operational software.* Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and in dynamic, high-speed environments.**Cross-cutting Skills (Soft Skills):**Essential requirements:* Excellent communication skills, particularly in translating technical content for non-technical stakeholders.* Solid stakeholder management skills, with experience interacting with internal and external senior leadership.* Experience in managing teams or coordinating cross-functional initiatives.Preferential requirements:* Pragmatic and business-oriented decision-making ability.* Proven problem-solving skills (analytical and lateral thinking) on complex issues.* Ability to independently manage one's areas of responsibility within a project, with clear awareness of one's decision-making scope.**Personal Characteristics:*** High level of organization and attention to detail* Calm, reliable, and methodical even under pressure* Effective communicator, able to quickly build trusting relationships* Proactive, resourceful, and focused on completing tasks* Collaborative and able to coordinate with diverse teams and cultures**Language Skills:** English C1**Company Overview**Leonardo is an international industrial group and one of the world’s leading players in Aerospace, Defense, and Security, specialized in multi-domain technological capabilities in the fields of Helicopters, Aircraft, Aerostructures, Electronics, Cyber Security, and Space.
