Job Description Summary
The Global Process Engineer (GPE) will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader, focusing on developing and deploying global standards that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance’s manufacturing equipment and processes. The GPE will analyze data and work cross‑functionally to implement proactive measures that improve processes. Responsibilities include cost reduction through standardization of equipment and processes, establishing standards, and ensuring adherence to these standards. The GPE will also be a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, and new process introductions, including lead time, technology selection, and recommendations for fixturing, tooling, process, control plans, and qualifications of manufacturing assets. The role involves coaching and influencing a dotted‑line organization of factory manufacturing engineers across Aero Alliance factories. Leveraging analytical skills, lean methodology, and the principle of creating process standards for equipment (“One Product One Process”) is critical to drive SQDC in line with business and functional objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and extensive exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development, and will contribute to building a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop packaging, material transportation, material conveyance, and material handling process & equipment standards; deploy global standards across Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders.
- Lead the transformation toward automated material transportation solutions, including AGVs.
- Define, control, and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks & calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, and technical & technology training.
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes in collaboration with EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, and Sourcing.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA and RCA.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improving quality processes.
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to eliminate recurring problems.
- Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization.
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment.
- Participate in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability).
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services; stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Use a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering; assess quality of information, ask pertinent questions, offer new solutions, and construct recommendations using internal and external sources.
- Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity; communicate difficult concepts and influence others’ perspectives.
Additional Requirements
- Engage Design for Six Sigma methodology (DFSS), including measuring existing machine capability, analyzing process requirements, and developing a strategy to maintain or improve process yield.
- Deploy lean principles, including 3P (Production Preparation Process), Total Productive Maintenance, Jidoka, PQ/PR, Takt Cycle, Standard Work, Value Stream Maps, Kaizen, 4D/8D/A3 Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke.
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
- 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Packaging, Material Transport, and Material Handling.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Project Management skills and experience.

- Significant years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
