Global Purchasing Manager

We're Hiring : Global Purchasing Manager

Location: Lainate, Italy (On-site with international travel)

At Carlo Gavazzi, a global leader in industrial automation, we are looking for a strategic and hands‑on Global Purchasing Manager to lead and centralise our worldwide procurement strategy.

Your Mission

Drive global sourcing excellence by structuring purchasing categories (Semiconductors, PCBs, electronic components) and delivering at least 5% annual cost savings across the Group.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement a global purchasing strategy across all subsidiaries
• Lead cost‑reduction initiatives and supplier consolidation
• Negotiate global framework agreements to improve cost, quality, and reliability
• Monitor market trends and mitigate supply chain risks
• Standardise procurement processes and KPIs across regions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and international stakeholders
• Report directly to the COO on performance and savings

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years in global supply chain or purchasing within industrial environments
• Strong experience in category management (electronics, automotive, or similar)
• Proven track record in cost reduction and supplier optimisation
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
• Familiarity with ERP / procurement systems
• Fluent in English (Italian is a strong plus)
• Willingness to travel internationally
