Location: Lainate, Italy (On‑site with international travel)
At Carlo Gavazzi , a global leader in industrial automation, we are looking for a strategic and hands‑on Global Purchasing Manager to lead and centralize our worldwide procurement strategy.
Drive global sourcing excellence by structuring purchasing categories (Semiconductors, PCBs, electronic components) and delivering at least 5% annual cost savings across the Group.
What You’ll Do
- Define and implement a global purchasing strategy across all subsidiaries
- Lead cost‑reduction initiatives and supplier consolidation
- Negotiate global framework agreements to improve cost, quality, and reliability
- Monitor market trends and mitigate supply chain risks
- Standardize procurement processes and KPIs across regions
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and international stakeholders
- Report directly to the COO on performance and savings
- 10+ years in global supply chain or purchasing within industrial environments
- Strong experience in category management (electronics, automotive, or similar)
- Proven track record in cost reduction and supplier optimization
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems
- Fluent in English (Italian is a strong plus)
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Shape and lead a global procurement strategy
- Work in a high‑impact, strategic role with direct executive exposure
