Global Purchasing & Sourcing Lead – Drive global sourcing and purchasing initiatives across Motion Technologies. This role requires a proven purchasing professional with global vision, travel readiness, and potential relocation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver concrete sourcing and purchasing projects within Motion Technologies, including cross‑business initiatives when assigned.
- Support and execute global sourcing strategies across assigned direct and/or indirect categories, aligned with ITT procurement strategy and plant needs.
- Conduct supplier scouting, market analysis, supplier evaluation and qualifications to strengthen the global supply base.
- Run or support RFQs, supplier comparisons, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization to meet cost, quality, delivery and risk targets.
- Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities through competitive bidding, localization, dual sourcing, value analysis, and supplier productivity initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance, purchasing metrics, and market trends; provide data‑based recommendations to stakeholders.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain and Program Management on sourcing, launches, make/buy evaluations and cost improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ITT purchasing policies, ethical standards, approval flows, and contractual requirements.
- Contribute to the standardization and sharing of purchasing best practices across Motion Technologies.
- Provide clear project updates to Motion Technologies Purchasing leadership and present progress to program sponsors or stakeholders when required.
- Travel to plants, suppliers and project locations to build operational understanding and achieve project outcomes.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Approximately 4–5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, category management or supply chain in automotive, industrial manufacturing or similarly complex environments where supplier risk management and international exposure are key.
- Solid experience with RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, cost analysis, supplier performance tracking, and cross‑functional projects.
- Strong analytical skills: ability to work with purchasing metrics, cost breakdowns, market data, and supplier performance indicators.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of Italian strongly recommended, additional languages a plus.
- Experience in direct materials, indirect purchasing, logistics, raw materials or technical commodities.
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement tools; advanced Excel and data reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) are a plus.
- Training or certification in negotiation, sourcing, supply chain, logistics or project management is an advantage.
- Full willingness and practical ability to travel extensively (up to 50 % when required).
