Group Controller

Ensure the overall governance of the Group’s economic and financial controlling, guaranteeing the reliability of consolidated data, the consistency of reporting processes, and an integrated view of performance to support the Group’s strategic decision-making.

The Group Controller is responsible for the Group management control and reporting system, coordinating the controlling activities of the individual companies and ensuring a unified view of consolidated economic and financial performance.

The role operates within the AFC (Administration, Finance and Control) function as a strategic partner to the CFO, providing analyses, insights, and recommendations to support governance, planning, and the Group’s development, while working closely with subsidiary management.

Main responsibilities include:

Group management control

• Improvement and coordination of the Group management control model
• Supervision of the controlling activities of subsidiaries
• Ensuring methodological consistency and data comparability across entities
• Development and monitoring of economic, financial, and industrial KPIs

Management reporting and analysis

• Preparation of consolidated Group reporting
• Analysis of consolidated and individual company performance
• Analysis of variances (actual vs budget vs forecast)
• Support to strategic decision-making through ad hoc economic and financial analyses

Budgeting and forecasting

• Coordination of the Group budget and forecast process
• Definition of economic and financial guidelines for subsidiaries
• Evaluation of scenarios, sensitivities, and performance drivers

Consolidation

• Preparation, in collaboration with colleagues from the AFC function, of:
  • Consolidated financial statements
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Analysis of consolidated data
• Oversight of the quality and reliability of data supporting consolidation

Governance and process development

• Harmonization and continuous improvement of reporting and controlling processes
• Support for the implementation/evolution of ERP and reporting systems
• Interaction with auditors, consultants, and central Group functions
• Contribution to the dissemination of data and performance-driven culture

Requirements:

Education

• Degree in Economics and Finance
• Master’s degree or specializations in Finance/Controlling (preferred)

Professional Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Management Control / Group Controller roles
• Experience gained in:
  • Structured, multi-company industrial groups
  • International environments
  • Audit/consulting firms (preferred background)

Technical skills

• Strong expertise in Group management, control, and reporting
• Good knowledge of OIC and IFRS accounting principles
• Excellent command of Excel and reporting/BI tools
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
