We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Milan. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our e-commerce platform's presence in the Chinese market by acquiring new fashion, cosmetics, or health-related brands and building strong relationships with potential clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record in business development within the e-commerce sector.

1. Brand Acquisition & Partnership Development:
Identify, approach, and secure partnerships with high-potential fashion, cosmetics, or health brands interested in entering or expanding their presence in the Chinese market.
Elaborate terms and agreements that align with both parties’ goals and objectives.
Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers at partner companies.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Provide ongoing support to onboarded brands, ensuring successful integration onto the platform.
3. Market Research & Strategy:
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights in the Chinese e-commerce landscape.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for brand positioning, marketing campaigns, and sales growth.
4. Cross-Cultural Communication:
Act as a bridge between European brands and Chinese consumers by leveraging cultural understanding and language proficiency.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different regions and cultures.
5. Performance Monitoring:
Track KPIs related to brand acquisition, customer engagement, and revenue generation.
Regularly report progress to senior management and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.

Experience:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, account management, or sales roles within the e-commerce industry.
Proven success in acquiring and managing strategic partnerships, particularly in the fashion, cosmetics, or health sectors.
2. Language Skills:
Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and French or Italian.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Proficiency in English is highly desirable.
3. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field. An MBA is a strong advantage.
4. Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and networking abilities.
Deep understanding of the Chinese consumer market and its unique characteristics.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and e-commerce platforms.
5. Cultural Awareness:
Demonstrated ability to navigate cross-cultural business environments.
Passion for bridging East-West markets and fostering global collaboration.
Ability to adapt to the fast speed changing requirements. Willingness to travel.
