Role Overview:
We are looking for a Turbocompressor Sales professional with background in standard and engineered integrally geared centrifugal compressor technology to fill in our Key Account Manager position vacancy for our European Head Office.
Focusing on the Engineering Companies markets (EPCs) , the position will oversee the sales strategy and market development for engineered turbo compressors and related auxiliaries. The role requires a strong blend of technical engineering knowledge and proven sales management expertise, especially in the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Direct Sales of engineered API 672 & 617 machinery for Oil&Gas , Air Separation , Power Generation , CCUS and other emerging applications related to renewables , within the assigned territories and to the assigned key-accounts.
- Develop & extend the existing clients in close cooperation with the Regional and Global Sales Teams.
- Plan and organize all related sales functions, customer visits, reports and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationship with customers and key accounts.
- Develop Effective Sales Strategies and plans in line with the management business objectives, goals and targets.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales target for the assigned territories/accounts.
- Evaluate incoming inquiries, define proposal strategy and co-develop proposals with support of the Sales, Application and Engineering Teams.
- Submission, discussion and negotiation of technical and commercial quotes.
- Redaction of product and marketing presentations.
- Coordinate with Korean HQ and receive operative support as necessary on all role’s responsibilities.
- Report to management on a regular basis.
- Participation at trade shows as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent plus at least five (5) years of experience in the field of rotating equipment (turbo machinery preferred); or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Complex sales management (engineered projects for EPC contractors and other global key-accounts, including technical, commercial , financial and legal aspects ).
- A good understanding of instrument air and gas compressor applications in the Oil & Gas and Chemical/Petrochemical/Power/etc. industry in the region.
- Expert understanding of industry related standards (API672, API617, API614 and others), as well as systems processes.
- Knowledge of Turbomachinery product specifications and features including control systems and auxiliary systems associated with integrally geared centrifugal compressors.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, technical documentation, blueprints, layouts and schedules.
- Strong commercial skills & negotiation.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships, internally and externally, with new, prospects and existing customers.
- Should have a good command of English; a second language would be considered a plus.
Location:
This position will be located in Cinisello Balsamo (MI), Italy, and will require business trips within the region (around 30% of the time).
