Hardware Engineer (relocation to the Netherlands)

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer , you will play a key role in the design and development of advanced packaging machinery. You will transform customer-specific requirements and engineering concepts into reliable, manufacturable electrical designs using SEE Electrical . You’ll work on both tailor-made orders and innovation-driven internal projects, collaborating closely with colleagues in mechanical engineering, software engineering, and production.

This role combines detailed electrical engineering with hands-on involvement in the full lifecycle of high-end packaging machines — from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical system designs and schematics using SEE Electrical
• Translate concept designs into practical electrical solutions for both machines and modular systems
• Deliver complete and accurate technical product documentation (TPD), including BOMs, schematics, and safety files
• Select appropriate components (sensors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, etc.) with reliability and cost-efficiency in mind
• Ensure compliance with the Machinery Directive (CE) and other applicable standards
• Support the assembly, testing, and commissioning of machines, in close collaboration with production and service teams
• Identify and implement design improvements and cost-saving measures
• Contribute actively to the standardization and modularization of our product portfolio

Your Profile:

• A completed MBO or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in machine building, ideally in a project-based environment
• Proven experience with SEE Electrical (or similar CAD software)
• Solid knowledge of electrical design for machinery, including EN60204-1 and CE marking
• Familiarity with industrial automation components (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff, Schneider) is a plus
• Able to balance custom engineering with standardized solutions
