The Head Accountant is responsible for the management, supervision, and accuracy of the company’s entire accounting and administrative system, ensuring compliance with tax and civil regulations and providing support to Management in economic and financial decision-making.
About the role
The Head Accountant is responsible for the management, supervision, and accuracy of the company’s entire accounting and administrative system, ensuring compliance with tax and civil regulations and providing support to Management in economic and financial decision-making.
- Supervision of general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Accounting entries preparatory to the preparation of the financial statements
- Accounting entries preparatory to monthly and annual closings
- Management of tax and social security obligations (VAT, F24, INTRASTAT, direct taxes, withholdings, tax returns)
- Coordination and supervision of the administrative and accounting team
- Independent liaison with the two consulting firms: Iuxteam and Studio Grifa
- Verification of correct allocation of costs and revenues
- Monitoring of tax and administrative deadlines
- Active support to ECG Management in economic and financial analysis and in the preparation of reports upon request (in English)
- Management of fixed assets, depreciation, and adjustment entries
- Verification of compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulations
- General knowledge of the company’s products
- Management of the employee timesheet file and subsequent transmission of timesheet data to the labour consultant
Who are you?
Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of general and analytical accounting
- In-depth knowledge of tax and civil legislation
- Ability to interpret financial statements in order to support Management in strategic decision-making
- Experience in national and international VAT management
- Knowledge of the company’s ERP/accounting software
- Ability to analyse financial statements and interpret key economic and financial indicators
- Skills in management control
- Excellent command of Excel
