Join our client’s leading chain of Italian cuisine brand in Kuwait as a Head Chef and take charge of kitchen leadership, menu creation, and delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Culinary Leadership & Kitchen Operations
- Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and stewards.
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including food prep, service coordination, and shift planning.
- Ensure smooth kitchen workflow, staff training, and team motivation.
2. Italian Cuisine Mastery
- Prepare and execute a wide range of regional Italian dishes such as pasta, risotto, pizza, antipasti, and traditional sauces.
- Maintain culinary authenticity while allowing space for modern and creative interpretations.
- Ensure flavor, texture, and presentation reflect brand standards and Italian culinary heritage.
3. Menu R&D and Innovation
- Develop and update menus based on seasonality, customer preferences, and culinary trends.
- Conduct research and testing for new Italian food items and limited-time offers.
- Collaborate with management on branding, concept evolution, and special promotions.
4. Quality Control & Presentation
- Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and visual presentation across all dishes.
- Conduct regular tastings, inspections, and quality audits.
- Train team members on plating standards and preparation techniques.
5. Procurement & Inventory
- Source high-quality ingredients, focusing on authentic Italian imports and fresh seasonal produce.
- Manage inventory, ordering, stock rotation, and food cost control.
- Build and maintain relationships with reliable food suppliers.
6. Compliance & Hygiene
- Ensure full compliance with food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and health regulations across the kitchen.
- Prepare for and pass all health inspections and internal audits.
Required Qualifications / Skills:
- Minimum 8–10 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years as a Head Chef.
- Deep knowledge of Italian cuisine and regional recipes.
- Hands-on experience with menu development and kitchen leadership.
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Italian language proficiency is a must
- Culinary diploma or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience
- Fine dining or premium casual restaurant background.
- Experience in restaurant openings or kitchen concept launches.
- A passion for hospitality and innovation.
