Head of Compliance, Digital Services Act, Trustworthy Shopping Experience

At Amazon, we believe that customer trust is of paramount importance. To enhance this, the Trustworthy Shopping Experience team collaborates with regulators, brands selling partners, and customers to identify, mitigate, and prevent compliance, selling partner, or product risks. We also work closely with our regulatory partners and are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to build and grow these relationships.
In this role, you will oversee the strategic and tactical management of Amazon's compliance with the EU Digital Services Act. You will interface with regulators, drive ongoing reporting and risk assessments, and support external audits and data access requirements related to the legislation. You will partner with various Amazon teams including Seller Services, Brand Protection, Legal, Public Policy, Product Safety & Quality, Restricted Products, Community Trust, Advertising, and Shopping Experience. Additionally, you will develop and implement external communication strategies in partnership with Public Relations.
This highly visible position will serve as the primary contact for Amazon leadership in the EU on compliance matters and engage with regulators. Candidates must be able to present complex information clearly in both written and verbal English, have a proven track record managing complex programs in a fast-paced tech environment, and utilize data analysis to inform business decisions.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead compliance programs with partner teams across Amazon.
- Advise Amazon leadership on compliance initiatives.
- Manage external audits, transparency reporting, and data access requirements.
- Foster internal partnerships in a culturally diverse environment.
- Collaborate with regulatory partners on emerging requirements.
- Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in program or product management within e-commerce or online services.
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in English; proficiency in at least one other European language.
- Experience managing high-scale technology programs (e.g., millions of customers, thousands of transactions per second, milliseconds of latency).
- Background in public policy or e-commerce legislation (e.g., GDPR).
- Management experience, including building and executing compliance plans.
