Main Responsibilities
- As the Head of E-commerce, you are responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive profitable online channel growth, including customer offer, brand experience, commercial calendar, sales, digital platform, and digital development.
- You are responsible for B2B / B2C service offerings and will collaborate with departments like CRM, cloud solutions, data & analytics, sales, alliances, marketing, and communication to ensure cross-channel alignment.
- You focus on coaching and developing your team to achieve success, managing, motivating, and inspiring them to reach sales, growth, and company goals. Talent recruitment, development, and succession planning are key aspects of your role.
- You define and develop Merkle Italia's digital sales strategy, aligning it with the overall sales strategy and brand vision. You drive sales growth across existing and new clients and continuously improve and innovate the e-commerce offerings.
- You have full budget and P&L responsibility for the e-Commerce segment and work closely with other dentsu Italy service lines.
- You optimize the offer through analysis, monitor market trends, and drive innovative digital strategies via your team.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in digital development and sales optimization, with a broad business background.
- Proven leadership skills, with at least 8 years managing large teams in E-commerce and digital, preferably in Italy.
- Knowledge of main e-commerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, SquareSpace.
- Deep understanding of the Italian e-commerce market and its key players.
- Successful track record in leading E-commerce implementations.
- Ability to lead, develop, motivate, and inspire teams remotely with a global outlook.
- Strategic, analytical, hands-on, and engaging leadership style.
- Commercial and strategic mindset with forward planning skills.
- Active participation in management teams.
- University Degree in business management and/or IT or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills in Italian and English.
- Ability to work independently and be a strong brand ambassador.
