Overview

JD.com, China’s leading eCommerce and supply-chain technology enterprise, is expanding its global footprint and establishing a significant strategic presence in the ITALY. We are seeking a visionary, commercially driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead JD.com ITALY. This individual will spearhead market entry, define the long‑term strategy, and build a world‑class operation that reflects JD.com’s commitment to quality, innovation, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute JD.com’s ITALY market strategy aligned with global vision and long‑term growth objectives;
  • Identify high‑value market opportunities in retail, logistics, supply chain, and partnerships;
  • Lead competitive analysis, market positioning, and strategic initiatives to establish JD.com as a leading eCommerce player in the ITALY.

Commercial Growth

  • Drive top‑line revenue growth through partnerships with brands, merchants, suppliers, and retail ecosystems;
  • Develop and launch local product and service lines appropriate for the ITALY market;
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, industry groups, suppliers, and technology partners.

Operational Management

  • Build, structure, and lead our ITALY business units including eCommerce Category Management, Operations & Inventory;
  • Ensure operational excellence that aligns with JD.com’s global standards for speed, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Financial Stewardship;
  • Set financial targets, budgets, and forecasts for the ITALY entity;
  • Monitor P&L performance and ensure profitability and sustainable expansion;
  • Manage investment planning, risk mitigation, and capital allocation for the ITALY business.

Talent & Culture

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing leadership team.
  • Establish a strong organizational culture that reflects JD.com’s core values: customer‑first mindset, efficiency, integrity, and innovation.
  • Drive cross‑cultural alignment between ITALY operations and Chinese headquarters.

Regulatory & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with ITALY laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Manage risk proactively, including data protection, employment law, and international trade compliance.
  • Represent JD.com ITALY in public affairs, stakeholder engagements, and government relations.

Basic Requirements

  • Extensive senior executive leadership experience in eCommerce, retail, supply chain, or related technology‑enabled sectors.;
  • Proven track record in leading P&L, scaling operations, and delivering commercial growth in the ITALY or broader European markets;
  • Strong understanding of ITALY digital commerce landscape, consumer trends, and competitive dynamics;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead large, diverse, cross‑functional teams;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and partners;
  • Experience working with or within multinational organizations.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience launching or scaling an international brand in the ITALY or Europe;
  • Knowledge of different business culture, cross‑border eCommerce, and China-ITALY trade dynamics;
  • Background in high‑growth tech companies or advanced logistics/supply chain organizations;
  • Experience managing omnichannel retail, marketplace ecosystems, or advanced fulfilment networks.
