Location: Milan, Italy Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer Shape the Marketing Strategy for a Fast-Growing European Data Centre Operator Our client is a leading European data centre operator experiencing significant growth across multiple markets. They are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead the regional marketing function, driving brand awareness, demand generation, digital performance, and customer engagement across Europe. This is a strategic leadership role for a commercially minded marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced technology environment and has a proven track record of building high-performing marketing functions that deliver measurable business impact. The Opportunity As Head of Marketing, you will define and execute the regional marketing strategy across multiple markets and customer segments. Working closely with Sales, Product, Alliances, and European leadership, you'll be responsible for creating integrated marketing programmes that generate pipeline, strengthen the brand, and support ambitious business growth. You'll lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of digital campaigns, events, partner marketing, and customer engagement initiatives while ensuring alignment with the wider European marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive regional marketing strategy aligned with European business objectives. Own annual marketing planning, budgeting, and investment priorities. Provide leadership across digital marketing, content, campaigns, events, and partner marketing. Act as the senior marketing leader for the region, partnering closely with Sales, Product, Alliances, and European Marketing teams. Digital Marketing & Demand Generation Lead digital marketing initiatives across paid media, SEO, social media, email marketing, website optimisation, and marketing analytics. Deliver integrated demand generation programmes, including account-based marketing (ABM), digital campaigns, and field marketing initiatives. Optimise website performance, user journeys, and landing pages to maximise lead generation and conversion. Campaigns, Content & Brand Ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning across all channels. Develop compelling content, customer stories, sales enablement materials, and campaign assets. Work alongside commercial teams to activate campaigns effectively across regional markets. Events & Customer Engagement Own the regional events strategy, including industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and webinars. Ensure every event delivers measurable commercial outcomes and contributes to pipeline growth. Partner & Alliance Marketing Build and execute joint go-to-market initiatives with strategic partners and alliances. Drive partner-led pipeline through co-marketing campaigns, joint events, communications, and content programmes. Marketing Performance & Analytics Establish and monitor marketing KPIs across demand generation, digital performance, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI. Produce executive dashboards and performance reporting for regional and European leadership. Foster a culture of continuous optimisation and data-driven decision-making. About You You'll be an experienced B2B marketing leader with a passion for technology and a proven ability to build marketing programmes that directly contribute to revenue growth. You'll bring: 10+ years' experience in senior B2B marketing leadership roles. Experience within the data centre, cloud, managed services, IT infrastructure, or wider technology sector. Strong expertise in demand generation, digital marketing, ABM, campaign management, and marketing analytics. Demonstrable success generating measurable pipeline growth through integrated marketing. Experience influencing senior stakeholders across international organisations. Hands-on knowledge of marketing technologies such as Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms.
