Head of Mathematics

EduTalent Group are hiring for a Head of Mathematics to join a well established international school in Milan. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Mathematics educator with a strong IB Diploma Programme background, who is passionate about teaching, learning and developing high performing students within a diverse, multicultural environment.

About the role

You will lead the Mathematics department while delivering high quality teaching across IB Diploma Programme Mathematics, including Higher Level and Standard Level courses. The role also includes teaching across IGCSE and or MYP depending on experience. You will play a key role in curriculum planning, assessment design and driving outstanding student outcomes, while contributing to a collaborative and forward thinking school culture.

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject

• Recognised teaching qualification

• Strong experience teaching IB Diploma Programme Mathematics

• Experience with IGCSE and or MYP preferred

• Proven ability to lead or contribute to a department

• Strong understanding of inquiry based learning and assessment practices

• Ability to differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

• A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and leadership
