As Head of Medical Affairs, Italy, you will shape and lead the national medical strategy for Genmab’s Italian affiliate, aligning with Europe-wide priorities. You will drive medical excellence across affiliate activities, engage with external stakeholders, and support the first Italian launch. The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution in a fast-moving biotech environment. You will collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure a scientifically rigorous, patient‑centric approach that advances oncology programs.

• Act as strategic medical partner to the Italian General Manager and leadership team
• Ensure scientific and ethical rigor across affiliate activities in collaboration with Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, QA, Legal, and R&D
• Define and monitor medical KPIs and readiness for quarterly business reviews
• Develop and oversee Italian Medical Affairs strategy aligned with European and global plans
• Serve as the primary medical voice in Italy and inform national priorities
• Contribute to Italian leadership and European Medical Affairs leadership teams
• Collaborate with European/global teams to maintain a consistent regional and global scientific narrative
• Provide Italian medical/scientific inputs for clinical development and commercialization planning
• Oversee investigator interactions and study feasibility in Italy
• Lead national conference plans and external communications of data
• Enable Italian evidence generation initiatives through external partnerships
• Build relationships with Italian KOLs, societies, and oncology networks
• Represent Genmab at local/regional congresses and forums
• Partner with patient advocacy and policy groups to strengthen scientific collaboration
• Gather and analyze medical insights to guide strategy and decision-making
• Lead launch readiness and lifecycle management with evidence-based medical input
• Develop localization of medical materials and conduct advisory boards and congress strategies
• Coordinate with MA Training to deliver high-quality scientific training
• Strengthen local medical governance and compliance frameworks
• Oversee review/approval of promotional and non-promotional materials in Italy
• Collaborate with Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs on product safety and compliance
• Attract, develop, and retain top Italian talent; foster collaboration and excellence
• Mentor and develop direct reports; drive performance and leadership development
• Champion innovation and manage change initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness

Responsabilità

• MD, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences or related discipline
• 10+ years in Medical Affairs in pharma/biotech with oncology exposure
• Strong knowledge of AIFA procedures, CTS/CPR evaluations, and Italian pricing/reimbursement pathways
• Track record of successful product launches and affiliate development
• Deep understanding of the Italian healthcare landscape, oncology ecosystem, and regulatory environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a matrix organization across regional/global/local
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
