About your role


The Head of Procurement will be based in Dubai, UAE responsible for sourcing, selecting, and managing suppliers and products that align with Casinetto’s business objectives and customer expectations. This role involves strategic procurement planning, negotiation, and relationship management with our suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of products, enhancing margins and driving category growth.


Your primary responsibilities


  • Pricing and Cost Management:
  • Ensure competitive pricing for purchased products, maintaining target margins as per business requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, discounts, and payment terms to maximize margins and optimize cash flow in line with Casinetto’s procurement strategy.
  • Product and Supplier Strategy:
  • Identify and recommend new brands and products based on Casinetto's strategic goals and customer preferences.
  • Proactively explore new product categories and opportunities for assortment expansion.
  • Partner with management to develop a category assortment strategy based on robust sales and inventory analysis, aligning with budget and pricing frameworks.
  • Item Master Management and Product Registration
  • Oversee the Item Master for accuracy of product data before and after launches, ensuring updates are made as necessary.
  • Ensure all products are registered in relevant government agencies and food authorities.
  • Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis:
  • Continuously track market trends, competitor activity, and price positioning to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Gather and analyze product design, specifications, and pricing insights to support Casinetto’s brand positioning and category strategies.


What you need to excel


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within the food or retail sector.
  • As a significant portion of our supplier base is located in Italy, proficiency in the Italian language is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.


Technical and Analytical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), with a proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends, product performance, and supplier data, ensuring data-driven, strategic decisions.
  • Financial acumen to understand cost structures, manage budgets, and analyze impact on margins and profitability.
