Our client is a globally renowned EPC contractor specializing in solar projects, with a strong track record in renewable energy assets across multiple countries. Following a recent acquisition by a leading investor in the renewable energy sector, the company has secured a robust pipeline of solar projects in Italy scheduled for delivery over the coming years.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end project management of utility‑scale solar PV and BESS projects, from development through construction and handover to operations.
  • Define and implement project management frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent project delivery.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and external partners to ensure seamless execution.
  • Act as the main point of accountability for project performance, reporting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management.
  • Oversee contractor and EPC performance, ensuring contractual obligations, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, proposing corrective actions where required.
  • Support strategic planning and portfolio‑level decision‑making across the Italian project pipeline.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, investors, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project outcomes.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management within renewable energy or large‑scale infrastructure projects, ideally solar PV.
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi‑project portfolios in an international or fast‑growing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Solid understanding of permitting processes, grid connection requirements, and regulatory frameworks in Italy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, results‑driven, and comfortable operating at a senior management level.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
