Overview
Chaberton Professionals is one of the recruiting divisions of Chaberton Partners. From our HQ in Lugano, we support client companies in the search and selection of middle and top management profiles . Our goal is to create success stories and enrich the talent pipeline within our client companies. Our client is an internationally company operating in the manufacturing sector. The company is seeking a Head of Regional Controlling who will support the Managing Director in strategic decision-making, and ensuring alignment of controlling processes across all regional entities.
Responsibilities
- Tools & Processes: Champion the development and optimization of controlling tools and systems (SAP S/4 HANA, BI, Onestream).
- Tools & Processes: Promote digitalization and automation in reporting and analysis processes.
- Tools & Processes: Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate governance standards.
- Supporting the specialist departments/management on the following topics: Implementation of business analyses.
- Supporting the specialist departments/management on the following topics: Support investment decisions and strategic projects.
- Supporting the specialist departments/management on the following topics: Collaborate closely with local controllers, finance teams, and business unit leaders.
- Management Support: Oversee the consolidation and analysis of financial results across entities.
- Management Support: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Management Support: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (Onestream, SAP, etc.) and commentary for senior leadership.
- Management Support: Monitor key financial KPIs and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Management Support: Lead and coordinate the controlling team, ensuring alignment with global financial strategy.
- Management Support: Act as a strategic business partner to senior management, supporting decision-making with financial insights.
- Management Support: Drive digital transformation in controlling processes, including automation and advanced analytics.
- Management Support: Oversee risk management and tax within the controlling function.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Controlling, Economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in controlling, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
- Deep expertise in cost accounting, profitability analysis, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong command of SAP CO/COPA/BI and Onestream; experience with S/4 HANA is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and leadership skills.
- Business fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
- High resilience, intercultural competence, and willingness to travel internationally.
