On behalf of an important manufacturing company, supplier of equipment for complex applications in the energy and industrial plant sectors, we are currently looking for a:

Head of Service & Aftermarket – Industrial Equipment

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the aftermarket business, including all service and technical support activities related to the company’s installed base, ensuring high standards of technical support and customer satisfaction both nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating service activities, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, spare parts management and technical assistance on equipment installed at customer sites;
• Developing the aftermarket business at 360° and with the support of the dedicated team;
• Managing a team of travelling Field Service Engineers, for what concerns workload, performance, professional growth;
• Supporting the team in troubleshooting activities related to the most critical and strategic situations whenever necessary;
• Managing customer relationships regarding service and technical support activities;
• Driving the organizational and operational evolution of the Service department in line with company guidelines and objectives;
• Periodically reporting to the top management;
• Cooperating daily with other departments (Engineering, R&D, Quality, etc.) in order to improve understanding of technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has an engineering or technical educational background.

We are looking for a person with significant experience within companies operating in the energy, oil & gas or industrial plant engineering sectors, preferably in the field of rotating equipment, and possesses strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills related to industrial machinery.

The candidate has developed a solid understanding of aftermarket, service and spare parts management dynamics within industrial plants or engineered-to-order equipment businesses.

He/she also has experience in team management and activity coordination.

A good command of English and availability for international travel, when required, are essential.
