The role

We are on the lookout for a Head of Tech to join ourxOps team, one of the key functions of the company.

In this role, your mission will beto own our digital and IT ecosystem, ensuring it runs smoothly, securely and in line with business priorities, while acting as the main point of reference for all tech matters and aligning technology with both operational and strategic needs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of Talent Garden’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and effective execution across teams and partners
  • Act as a key partner for business units, staff functions, and the Executive Committee, translating needs into reliable and scalable tech solutions
  • Lead the internal development team and coordinate the work of external tech partners
  • Represent the tech function in cross-functional leadership forums and operational discussions
  • Own and maintain the architecture of Talent Garden’s digital and IT ecosystem, including continuous improvement and long-term maintenance
  • Ensure continuity, scalability, and security across platforms and systems used by the company
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimisation of custom tools, automations, and integrations across all business areas
  • Manage tech budget performance, prioritize requests, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

About you

Ideally, you are a senior professional with a pragmatic mindset, solid technical foundations, and a strong sense of ownership over systems and processes.

On top of this, you :

  • Have + years of experience in relevant technical roles, including at least in positions with leadership or full ownership
  • Know how to align tech decisions with business priorities to ensure long-term efficiency and stability
  • Bring experience coordinating internal developers and external providers in structured ways
  • Are confident contributing to cross-functional discussions and tech-related decision-making
  • Design systems that are scalable, maintainable, and resilient over time
  • Manage infrastructure with attention to maintenance, improvement, and lifecycle planning
  • Apply agile methodologies effectively across both development and IT operations
  • Make prioritization and budget decisions based on technical impact and business value
  • Are ideally based in Milan or Rome

Tech Stack

When it comes to technical stuff, we’re looking for someone with :

  • Solid experience in cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, and familiarity with services like Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, EventBridge, Route , S, Cognito, AWS CLI, and AWS CDK – we're open to considering experience with other cloud providers
  • Proficiency in backend development using JavaScript ( and / or Python
  • Confidence in working with both relational and non-relational databases, particularlyPostgreSQL and MongoDB
