What you will be doing

As the Hotel General Manager, you will lead all hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, optimised financial performance, and a motivated, high‑performing team. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, driving commercial strategies and maintaining the quality standards of Pestana Hotel Group.

Your key responsibilities will be

  • Ensuring high-quality service standards across all departments.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the hotel team, creating a positive and effective work culture.
  • Planning, organising, and overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Managing budgets, expenses, and interpreting financial reports to maximise revenue and profitability.
  • Developing and implementing commercial and operational strategies.
  • Building strong relationships with guests, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their overall satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, partners, and event planners.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and local regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring property inspections, maintenance needs, and operational risks.
  • Ensuring smooth collaboration between departments and alignment with Pestana Hotel Group standards.

We value individuals who

  • Bring proven experience as a Hotel Manager or General Manager, ideally in a luxury or upscale hotel.
  • Are fluent in Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Have strong financial and business acumen.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Possess strong customer service orientation and a strategic mindset.
  • Are reliable, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Have strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Are proficient in MS Office; knowledge of hotel management systems is an advantage.
  • Hold a degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Already have the right to work in Italy.
  • Willingness to pursue further professional growth opportunities in other geographical locations.
