About This Opportunity:
We seek a highly experienced HR Director for the EMEA region to lead and coordinate all human resources operations, compliance and employee relations processes for our offices in Italy, France, UK, and Germany. As the HR Director you will play a pivotal role in shaping, leading and executing the HR Operations and Employee Relations strategy for EMEA in partnership with our HR business partnering team and our Global VP, Rewards & HR Operations, ensuring alignment with global objectives while addressing local needs. This role will act as the key point of contact for implementing corporate HR policies, managing labour relations, handling employee relations matters and disputes, and providing EMEA HR support. The HR Director will ensure compliance with local labour laws while aligning local operations with global HR strategies. Additionally, the manager will work closely with the local Italian HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to foster an inclusive and performance-driven culture across Italy.

Managerial Responsibility: This is a senior level individual contributor role that collaborates extensively with local HR Operations, HR Business partnering team, Legal and Operations teams with the possibility of growing into a people leader over time.
Characteristics:- Strategic Vision: Ability to design and execute HR strategies that align with global corporate objectives while addressing the unique needs of the Italian market and the broader EMEA region.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience in working seamlessly across different departments, teams, or disciplines to achieve shared business objectives.
- Expertise in Local Labor Relations: Deep understanding of Italian labour laws and practices, with the ability to negotiate and manage union relationships effectively. Knowledge and experience with French, German and UK labour practices is highly preferred.
- Operational Expertise and Strong Attention to Detail: Skilled at driving large scale Operational needs within People team, overseeing change initiatives, developing strong processes and ensuring strong documentation for scalability.
- Operations:
- Oversee and coordinate all HR Operational activities across EMEA, ensuring alignment with global corporate policies.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies under Italian labour legislation.
- Manage relationships with employees and trade unions, ensuring effective industrial relations and fostering a positive work environment.
- Supervise personnel administration activities, including contracts, payroll, attendance tracking, leave management, availability, and welfare programs.
- Promote and maintain an inclusive, healthy, and safe workplace environment.
- Employee Relations:
- Handle and resolve employee disputes, working closely with the legal department to ensure all actions align with local laws.
- Provide consultation, guidance and support to managerial teams and HRBPs on matters related to performance, professional development and conflict resolution.
- Monitor and manage HR-related KPIs, regularly reporting to the global headquarters.
- Partner with the finance team on reports and audits
- Regularly work with our internal and external Legal teams on employment related matters to manage risk and ensure compliance, while managing a positive and fair employee experience
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience within a multinational environment, with a strong focus on labour relations and compliance
- Fluency in both written and spoken Italian and English. Knowledge of French is a plus!
- Experience in HR and Employee relations within the EMEA region both within Italy and other key countries across EMEA (such as France, Germany, UK and/or Netherlands)
- In-depth knowledge of Italian labour laws, union relations, and dispute management.
- Extensive expertise in HR Operations, payroll administration and related HR functions.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CCNL Metalmeccanica e Industra CONFAPIis beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Economics, or related fields; a Master’s in HR Management is a plus.
