About the Client
My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe and sustainable air travel.
They are looking to hire an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist on a contract basis for an initial 6/12 month contract, with a view to converting to a permanent position for the right candidate.
About the Role
Following a business acquisition our client is seeking a HR Generalist to handle payroll coordination with our external payroll vendor and provide onsite HR support.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and can efficiently manage multiple HR tasks.
Key Duties:
Payroll & HR Administration
• Liaise with the external payroll vendor for accurate payroll processing.
• Verify payroll inputs like working hours, leaves, bonuses, and deductions.
• Manage timekeeping data and employee records.
• Ensure payroll compliance with Italian labor laws.
• Collaborate with finance for payroll reconciliation and reporting.
Onsite HR Support
• Manage archive and document compliance.
• Prepare and issue employment-related documents.
• Collect signatures from employees and management.
• Address HR-related questions and foster positive employee relations.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Support local HR projects and initiatives.
General HR Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate employee records.
• Ensure compliance with local labor regulations.
• Support HR audits and internal controls.
• Collaborate with EMEA HR colleagues.
What we are looking for Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3-5 years of HR experience focused on payroll in Italy.
• Strong understanding of Italian labor law and payroll regulations.
• Experience with external payroll providers (e.g., ADP, Zucchetti).
• Attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Fluent in Italian and English (mandatory).
• Proficient in MS Office and HRIS tools (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle).
