Summary:

With reference to the mining concessions operated in Italy by Energean Italy S.p.A. and Energean Sicilia Srl and with reference to the South Italy territorial area, the selected Person will perform the function of HSE Engineer and, in this role, will be appointed Responsible Director pursuant to Legislative Decree 624/96 Presidential Decree 886/79 Presidential Decree 128/59 and subsequent amendments, reporting directly to the HSE Manager, ensuring compliance with legislative provisions and the safety of operations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure the application of Energeans HSE standards in accordance with the working environment.
• Support the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of HSE Procedures.
• Promote HSE awareness through toolbox talks, training sessions, and campaigns.
• Contribute to the reporting of incidents, investigations, and the follow-up of corrective actions.
• Manage the organization of field work according to the safety provisions issued by the Employer, including on-site inspections, visits, the organization of briefings, supervision of work permits, etc.
• Comply with and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal provisions concerning the protection of workers safety and health, and implement the DSSC (which he/she signs), both in its objectives and in its specific provisions.
• Support the Employer operationally in the responsibility for safety and health in the workplace.
• Verify the correct legislative compliance of mining sites as required by current regulations regarding workplace safety, including aspects related to the compliance of fire protection systems, lifting systems, pressure equipment, explosive atmospheres, and everything else required under Legislative Decree 624/96 and Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments. If anomalies are detected, request their resolution by activating the appropriate technical functions.
• Verify the completeness and consistency of the necessary documentation from contractors, ensuring its suitability for carrying out the planned work within the companys contractor documentation management process.
• Participate in training and information sessions for the roles concerned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in engineering with professional qualification, or degree in geology with professional qualification (professional qualification meaning having passed the state exam for the practice of the profession).
• Three years of experience in HSE roles in Oil & Gas plants or complex projects. Knowledge of sector technical regulations (confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres, classified Ex areas, fire prevention standards, work at height, load handling, etc.).
• Knowledge of regulations related to mining and workplace safety (Legislative Decree 624/96, Presidential Decree 886/79, Legislative Decree 81/2008).

Skills:

• Written and spoken English (minimum B2 level).
• Excellent knowledge of the Office package, particularly Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to integrate and work in a team.
• Ability to work by priorities.
• Proactivity.
• Problem solving.
