Role Summary
We are recruiting an HSE Leader in Italy to partner with the business unit Leadership Team and strengthen HSE culture across manufacturing facilities and field operations.
Location: Italy; reports operationally to the BU Vice President and functionally to the BU HSE and Sustainability Director.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the business unit leadership team to drive a sense of shared accountability and continuous improvement in HSE performance and culture, and integrate HSE in business decisions and management systems.
- Drive a compelling sense of urgency across the different product lines to identify HSE hazards, develop and implement effective safety critical barriers, and validate them.
- Identify applicable HSE regulatory requirements across product lines and take actions to ensure compliance.
- Identify HSE capabilities needed as the organization evolves in different sectors and locations, and attract, retain, and nurture HSE talent.
- Engage and cooperate with the broader Baker Hughes HSE function to deploy HSE practices and standards globally and accelerate performance improvements.
- Take an active and effective stance in representing the company in external industry or community events.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited university in HSE sciences, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including 5 years in a HSE leadership role, preferably in Manufacturing or Oil & Gas/Energy industries.
- Experience leading a team of experienced professionals.
- Knowledge of EU/Italian Occupational Safety & Health regulations and standards, and experience working with relevant regulatory agencies.
- Skilled in coaching executive leaders and helping them drive cultural changes.
- Effective interfacing with all levels of the organization, including contractors, vendors, and customers.
- International travel up to 30 % of time.
