Our Client is a prestigious multinational company operating in the industrial and metalworking sector.

To strengthen its EHS Department staff, they have tasked us with selecting the

HSE Manager - RSPP

The resource will report directly to the Plant Manager and the HSE Manager Europe and will be responsible for coordinating and supporting activities related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) at the plant. Acts as the Environmental Management System Manager (RSGA) and holds the position of Health and Safety Prevention and Protection Service Manager (RSPP) as per Legislative Decree 81 / 08.

In particular will have the following responsibilities :

  • Drafting / updating the Risk Assessment Document (DVR), verifying and updating appointments, designations, and assignments.
  • Investigating workplace accidents and diagnosing causes. Assisting in the reporting process for workplace injuries.
  • Developing workplace accident statistics. Ensuring compliance with national and local legislative updates (Industrial Union, Databases, etc.).
  • Verifying updates to the Health Protocol by the Competent Doctor (MC). Supporting the scheduling of annual medical check-ups.
  • Updating health suitability judgments of employees (including a summary table of suitability).
  • Reviewing the Health Report prepared by the Competent Doctor. Conducting workplace inspections with the Competent Doctor and drafting related reports. Ensuring proper management of first aid kits.
  • Selecting and verifying the suitability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensuring compliance by workers.
  • Verifying and updating the system for PPE distribution and maintenance. Reviewing and updating safety documentation provided by external companies (technical / professional suitability) and preparing the Interference Risk Assessment Document (DUVRI).
  • Holding periodic consultations with Worker Safety Representatives (RLS). Conducting the annual meeting with the Employer (DL), Competent Doctor (MC), and Worker Safety Representatives (RLS).
  • Identifying training, education, and instructional needs based on Risk Assessment (general and specific risks) and planning activities accordingly.
  • Conducting training on environmental, health, and safety topics. Verifying and updating qualifications for specific tasks (PES, working at heights, lifting equipment operators, etc.).
  • Preparing informational circulars and / or warning letters for all employees regarding various risks.
  • Assessing chemical products in use and managing safety data sheets.
  • Ensuring periodic maintenance and inspections of plant equipment (grounding systems, lightning protection, pressure systems, etc.).
  • Overseeing maintenance activities and updating the Fire Safety Register.
  • Updating the Emergency and Evacuation Plan, reviewing maps and safety signage.
  • Ensuring proper organization (adequate number and skills) of the Emergency Response and First Aid Team.
  • Planning and assisting in emergency evacuation drills. Preparing reports analyzing the Environmental Aspects and Effects Register.
  • Preparing the annual waste report (MUD). Raising employee awareness of environmental issues.
  • Advising management on strategies to reduce energy consumption / costs and waste production.
  • Implementing Corporate Policies and Programs.

Appointment as Environmental and Safety Management System Manager, including :

  • Managing the Environmental Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 standards
  • Managing the Health and Safety Management System in compliance with ISO 45001 standard
  • Planning and conducting internal audits.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Technical diploma or degree (including three-year degree) and / or 4-5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Certifications and qualifications required to perform as RSPP in ATECO sector 5 (Modules A, B, and C).
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation (Legislative Decree 81 / 2008 and related regulations) and environmental regulations (Legislative Decree 152 / 2006 and related regulations).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
