Your Role For a major infrastructure project, we are looking for an
HSE Specialist
to support Health, Safety & Environment activities on site. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Team and the HSE Manager to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company procedures, and HSE standards. The role involves supporting the operational monitoring of construction activities, managing non-conformities, and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE requirements. Support the HSE Manager in implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes. Identify non-conformities, unsafe conditions, and potential risks, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented and monitored. Verify the correct implementation of preventive and protective measures by contractors and subcontractors. Support the management and maintenance of project HSE documentation. Assist in organizing and recording HSE training and awareness activities for site personnel. Participate in internal audits and operational inspections related to Health, Safety & Environment. Support the project team in operational risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor HSE KPIs and prepare periodic reports and performance updates. Work closely with the Safety Coordinator (CSE) and site personnel to ensure the daily implementation of HSE requirements.
Requirements 2-3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector. Good knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental regulations applicable to construction sites. Experience in monitoring on-site operations and managing HSE non-conformities. Ability to perform field inspections and operational safety audits. Good knowledge of project HSE documentation and compliance requirements. Fluent Spanish language skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and on-site environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with contractors, operational teams, and technical stakeholders. Availability to work full-time on construction sites.
