HR Manager Europe (based in Cinisello Balsamo, Italy)
Position Overview
We are a nimble, high-performing subsidiary poised for strategic expansion, and we’re looking for an HR Manager to lead our human capital efforts during a transformative growth phase.
The HR Manager will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment during Phase 1 – Talent Acquisition, and on performance management, employee relations, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management during Phase 2 – HR Strategy & Structure. This experienced individual, skilled in a wide range of HR functions, will be a vital contributor to the team, ensuring the organization remains compliant with existing and updated laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage the recruitment process from role definition through interviewing and hiring.
- Craft job descriptions, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate hiring efforts with managers for final selection.
- Oversee onboarding efforts and assist with new employee orientation.
2. Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving workplace issues effectively to maintain a positive work environment.
- Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management, including feedback sessions and conflict resolution.
3. Performance Management
- Support MBO performance review with the Managing Director to drive high performance and support the professional development of staff.
4. Training and Development
- Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees.
- Assist managers in the development of succession plans and employee promotion paths.
5. Compensation and Benefits
- Participate in compensation management, implementing a sustainable strategy that attracts and retains high-quality employees.
- Administer or oversee the benefits programs, including enrolment, changes, and deletions.
Requirements / Experience
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR role with strong exposure to recruiting in industrial or machinery sectors
- Thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and HRIS systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work to maintain efficiency.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
